Swansea Feminist Network Music Fundraiser
The Swansea Feminist Network Music Fundraiser in aid of the Centre was held on July 29th. It was a great success with just under £500 being raised! Over 200 people turned up including councillor Stuart Rice who was instrumental in supporting our application to the Council for emergency funding. The night included female musicians and singers, a feminist disco, raffles, vegan cakes and information stalls.
The acts were; Catherine Elms, Sera (from Sera and The Elements, The Adelines and Sleepy Panda Club who all gave their time for free. All of us at The Centre would like to say a big “Thank You” to everyone involved in organising the event and to everyone who supported it on the night.
We have been reliably informed that there will be another event celebrating women’s accomplishments soon.
