Who are we?

Swansea Women’s Centre is a charity based in Swansea and open to all women in the Swansea and wider South Wales area. The Centre offers a range of activities and facilities for women including courses, workshops, groups, drop-ins, and information and resources.

Proposed Nude Dancing Club Campaign

URGENT!!

NUDE DANCING / LAPDANCING CLUB PLANNING GRANTED!

**UPDATE**
We will be demonstrating outside the Civic Centre on Wednesday April 25th at 9am against the granting of a Sex Entertainment Venue License to the proposed Nude Dancing Club ‘Bellisima’ in York St. A special Licensing Committee will be meeting at 10am on th emorning so we will going into the public gallery for the hearing.

Please come along and support us to fight against this sexist, misogynistic and degrading form of ‘entertainment’.

Projects

The Women’s Centre, in partnership with the Swansea Feminist Network held its annual International Women’s Day event on Thursday March 8th (10am-3pm) at Swansea University. It was a day of workshops focussing on issues that women face around the world (trafficking, domestic abuse, honour based violence etc). There were also stalls with information and women’s artwork on show. The event was FREE and approx 70 people attended the event.
